4. Who sells ENERGY STAR qualified appliances?

Most retailers within the State of Georgia that sell appliances or light bulbs carry some or all of the ENERGY STAR qualified appliances eligible for the sales tax holiday. You may also visit the store locator on the ENERGY STAR Web site. Visit www.energystar.gov and click on “Find a Store” under the “PRODUCTS” heading. Enter your ZIP Code, select options as necessary and check the boxes next to the products you are interested in and click “Locate Stores.”

5. Who can take advantage of the sales tax holiday?

Individuals purchasing products for personal, non-commercial use are eligible to receive the sales tax exemption. The tax exemption does not apply to items purchased for rent, lease, resale or commercial use.

6. Are online purchases eligible for the sales tax holiday?

Online purchases made during the sales tax holiday and delivered to a Georgia address are eligible for the sales tax holiday.

7. Where can I get more information about ENERGY STAR qualified appliances?

Visit www.energystar.gov and click on “PRODUCTS.”
